HPI TRUCKZILLA UPGRADE
i just upgrade my savage 25 with the new hot bodies truckzilla kit, has anyone else had trouble starting the BIG .46 i had to switch from a roto star to an drill, i tried the blow dryer tech. that helped a little, but still a little ruff starting when its cold.
OH, if anyone gets this upgrade and decides to swith back to the 25 size engine, you'll have to midify the frame side a little, i found out the hard way, if left unmodified it will set the engine too close to the spur and it'll shred it like chedder cheese.
i wish i would have gotten into the trucks before i got into planes, so much easier to play with and fix. plus they'll go just about anywhere.

RE: HPI TRUCKZILLA UPGRADE
i used the pull starter, but i ended up tearing up my hands a little, the pull starter kept binding up, so i switched to the roto start, i've broke in tons of engines for my airplanes but never had one like this, its stubern.

RE: HPI TRUCKZILLA UPGRADE
i kknow, i know, like i said earlier just getting into the rc trucks, i'm use to airplanes.
i switched it back to pull start, its starting a little easier now, espically when i warm up the head.
thanks for all the info, i appreciate it [8D]

i use the blow dryer, it seems to help, i've also taken the glow plug out and pulled a couple times to help the piston get lubricated alittle, don't know if it helps this engine, but old habits die young
