Default question about breaks

Is it something I have done or do the stock breaks just not work? I have turned that little screw thing to adjust the breaks WAY in and it still wont stop hardly at all... The breaks now barely hold the truck still on a slope.. My truck is still new hasnt really be threw all that much hard breaking not many stops under its belt... It just seems like from the day I bought the truck it didnt want to stop at all..

Does anyone have any ideas?

you may want to tighten the screws that hold the brake shoes to the tranny. Its the two screws that hold the brake shoes against the brake. You could tighten them alittle more so when the brake is applied, they grab more. Tighten them so there isn't too much slack between the brake shoes and the brake disk. This might help some.

You may also want to put a longer bit of fuel pipe on the linkage, or even better a spring, just so that you have plenty of adjustment.

I never had good brakes until I changed the linkage. Using some fuel line on the linkage is a good start, but the cheap servo saver they give you will be the ultimate limit of how much pressure you can generate.

I totally agree, the linkage and servo saver are poo!
