Default Lower Temperatures?

Has anybody had experience with those fancy intake pipes going from the engine to the front of the car/truck claiming to lower engine temperatures by 10-20%. My experience has been that the longer the tube from the carb, the harder it is for the engine to suck in air. What are these people talking about?

It's all rubbish. They don't cool the engine, they just make it work harder. Get a better heatsink.

The reason it becomes harder for the engine to suck air into the carb is because, the long tubes cause turbulance in the airflow.

master is correct, those are a just a waste of your money. If you are having heat problems then you should swicth to a nova head. They make some of the best cooling heads around and a nice price as well. If you go with the nova head, keep your stock one just in case the weather drops so you swcth heads as the outside temps changes or seasons.
