I had to rebuild it slightly after I totalled it - landed upside down on the head from 20 feet up (lost brakes) and gave new meaning to the word "bashing" LOL...new carburetor (newly sealed to engine) and new head and that bad boy will scEAm

Heres a few pics of 2 of my savages after some bashing, or at least what i consider as bashing.

This is my racer with a picco 28, it busted a tank after 1 1/2 tanks so i put it away and took out the basher. Unfortunately the wign mount and shocks on the outside makes for some serious flexing in the tower so it breaks tanks easily and the head on my picco is pretty beat up, i've straightened it out a few times so its worse than it looks.





And for my basher with picco 27, this is after about 4 to 5 tanks (whos counting when having fun [>:]) It broke: one rear left dogbone, 2 shocks caps poped off, bent rollbar, front body mount, screws backing out on the center skid. It took its punishment and just kept going, even after the shocks blew i just screwed them back in without oil and it was fine. Looks like i lost a screw under the fuel tank as well. I think the engine shifted cuz the sg is chewed up, who knows what else i'll find when i tear it down [&:].








It just goes to show that the stock parts on a savage are up to the task and dont need to be upgraded. All i have for upgrades in there is: alloy diff cups, 7075 TVPs, better servos, front tini skid cover, center skid, alloy shoes. IMO thats all a savage needs to survive the road to hell and back.

get some red threadlock - that'll hold that bad boy in there

Dont worry about that i have tonz of stock screws as well as 2 new sets from SMF, Chronic reccomended them and they look great but im keeping them for when i run out of the stock stuff.

You can get them at any hardware store. Look in the machined screw section-that's where I got mine.

Just dont get stainless or they will strip, if you have some spare engine mount screws (the ones that go under the engine plate) those will work as well. Well i guess the thing is i dont really want to travel to go play in a field by my self... its kinda boring when it is only you... if you catch what im sayin... i love a crowd and lots of other trucks!!!! great times with more peeps... when your by yourself you get lonely[&o] haha but ya nobody round here has big bashers like i do so its either run up and down the street and show off or be lonely!!! haah i rather show off if you know what im saying... haha
