Here are some pics of my newly completed Savage X SS. I only have one tank of fuel through the Picco and I'm already impressed. I just painted the body one color because it's not going to last long! LOL

UPGRADES:
-Picco P3 .28 engine
-HPI ribbed pipe
-Axial oversize wheels
-Proline "Big Joe" tires
-Savageshockcovers.com Blue-Grey Cammo shock covers
-HPI ball bearing steering upgrade
-HPI wheelie bar (not installed)
-Futaba FAAST 3PM radio system
-Hobbico 333oz/in titanium gear steering servo
-Hobbico high speed throttle servo
-RC Screwz Stainless Steel Hex screw kit

WHERE CAN I FIND THOSE RIMS!

Dang there are those LST shocks again!
Is there a thread out there for the plusses on these vs my integy piggys? They look sweet and only require that special lower arm bracket right? Are they more plush and resistant to bending? Plushness? Cool factor?

theres also a up mount braket and you have to use the old 25 savage lower arms....
by the way I bought mine from innovative rc.... but I'm working on a new set up being as though I'm a machinist, I see room for improvement on the set up.

They do look cool but only if you run big tire combos. They dont bend like integy. and they handle alot better if you running a more powerful motor.

I hear ya! I just put a brand new set of $13 MIP clutch shoes on my street Revo (Picco .26 maxx, 20/34 gearing, 60+mph) and the freakin' E-clip that holds the clutch bell on flew off! The clutch bell moved forward and munched up the slipper clutch, the front bearing on the CB is lost forever, and both clutch shoes shattered into several pieces! All this damage occurred because of a 1 cent E-clip. I think I will be finding a screw and washer to hold the CB on! Kinda like the one that the Savage comes with! *END RANT* LOL

Smashing Traxxas on a thread like this is too easy a target. I am ashamed to say I own a Smartech, had a pro.15 Tmaxx and moved up to building up my roller. The Smartech is the only one not broken at this point! I do give major props on toughness to the HPI without a doubt. I hit my lawn table in the backyard at like 15/20 mph. Nothing happened where when I hit the rear tire of my full size magnum I sheared the whole front bulkhead off. Bottom line, 4 flimsy little screws can't hold a rear/front bulhead/differential and be "sturdy" or "bashable".

Back to the subject at hand, will my Hitec 645 turn those meaty joes/Axial oversized rims I just purchased?
Anyone need high torque on their throttle servo for their Sav? Granted I am using an ST-1 powerplant with a very stiff return spring but I feel like i would need it for durability anyway. Hmmmm.

I would have to disagree, they might turn them, but you'll wnat to look for a servo with at least 200 ozin torque. I use a Ace 1015.

If Cen 7.7 use 144oz steering servos on an 18 lb beast isn't 132 enough for a 12 lbs?

That may be a bit generalized depending on the application, especially throttle servos. I could see a majority of steering ones blowing chunks but the CEN on ein aprticular I have heard great things. I have driven one before and considering the size of the truck it felt snappy.

Is this someones Savage here? A bit excessive if you ask me...i am confused by the choice of motor...Aren't these a pain to tune WITHOUT a blower?

Cough up the $3k, sorry if this is a repost.

Read the description...

Push button start...lolz a roto start!

Do you crave extreme engineering?

ANd I remember something about "rediculous 133oz torque servos" or some nonsense.

Are titanium ball ends parts of the drivetrain?!?!?!

if you are going to get lst2 shocks change the shafts as they are rubbish they seem to break near the bottom a little to easily i broke two on mine just doing some light bashing the nitride coated ones seem to last longer also change the shock caps to alloy as easily broken if you land akwardly heres a few pics of my savage now with os.30 power
