RE: PICS OF YOUR SAVAGES !!
We were up there last year and about got kicked out for taking our White Shepherds in. I would imagine they would remove me in handcuffs if I tried to run a Savage up there. It would be a super video! Maybe you could sneak over to the Needles.... that is definitely cool as well. Some great Savage photo opps there! Bud

I was thinking I would just drop a 49t spur in there b/c the table that HPI has in the back of their manual says thats for more torque and thats the max I should run with a K4.6

no offense intended, but, I think this setup reminded me why I won't use those rims and such....it took me 3 or 4 times to make sure that was a savvy and not a nyco or something like that....I like it but, the rims just screwam cehapie to me (I think it's the gold beadlock ring with all the extra shiny) love the body, and shell off the truck looks sharp....the rims just kinda make it funky to me....
also, if you're wanting a bit better fit length wise, look into the Proline F650 that's made for the MGT, it fits the XL chassis like a dream, and I'd bet it'll be pretty close if not a touch too long for the FLM extensions.....

RE: PICS OF YOUR SAVAGES !!
So fellas Ive had my savages on the shelve for like a year. I got a brand new OS 21rgx for $50.00 in a box. Deal or no deal. I want to change the suspention to be able to lower it abit more than factory. The one receiving all the mods is a .25 ss kit. Any hints if this engine is good for it? Im looking for an exhaust manifold and pipe for it. Hpi makes a manifold for this engine. Cant find much using the search tool in the site.
Thanks
Thanks

as far as the motor, don't really knowmuch about that motor, but, I do know that unless you're wanting straight line speed, I'd go for the .28's or bigger, most .21's simply don't have the torque for something as heavy as a savvy for racing or bashing, I had an LRP .28 in mine before I went to brushless on it.....and I saw night and day difference from the .25 to the .28, and even more difference from the .28 to the brushless motor
suspension, simple trick here, swap the diff cases, skids, bumpers, shock towers out for X parts instead of non-X parts, they'll allow you to adjust shock positions a bit more, and take your pre-load clips out, that's all I've done on mine and my arms sit nearly level.
