RE: PICS OF YOUR SAVAGES !!
No need to lie.I do'nt know you.that truck started off as a sav 25.when I bought it for 80 bucks the only mod on it was a orion.28 wasp top speed was clocked around 47mph.I installed a 3speed and bumped the bell and spur gear up.I caught the clock at 54.the back plate on the wasp was damaged and the motor was discontinued. So,a buddy of mine had a brand new RE surefire .32 he was going to use at a truck show but he did'nt,so he sold it to me for a extremly low cost of 100 bucks.I installed the sure fire added the 2 chamber hpi exaust and I caught it in the trap at 54 no bs.I was running it on the street lost sight for about 2 sec and crashed into a parked car tire bent the 25 chassis to hell.Believe it or not the bulkhead survived. But I cracked the tranny case and broke the emory gear. so I bought the xl chassis and a new tranny case and added the HPI high speed third gear and 3 shoe allum clutch.Caught this baby in the trap at 58mph so maybe I did lie about the 60 but I'm sure with a little tweeking here and there I'll get the other 2 mph out.I dont owe yall a Lie. Thats real talk!!

RE: PICS OF YOUR SAVAGES !!
Not sure about that one. Alot of us here have alot more mods on our savages then you do and dont come any where near 60mph. Is it possible? Yes anything is possible. Gear it tall enough with a good powerful motor and you might get near 60mph. My streched FLM chassis running an LRp, Losi HT pipe and XL tires is clocked between 52 and 54 not overly lean and thats about all i can get out of it. Point is that if someone comes here claiming high speeds from a savage needs to back it up with some video. If you prove us wrong then hey you have the hot setup. Anyone can claim 60mph from a truck but most times its not going to be beleivable. No one has ever posted a video validating 60mph speeds here. If you want to be top dog with teh savage start another post with video of your savvy doing 60mph.

RE: PICS OF YOUR SAVAGES !!
This is my savage X. you will right off notice the S25 tires and wheels. They are the only wheels I have with a 14mm hex, SO that is what I have on there. Currently I am running 17/47 with a Picco 27, old style three speed and just recently completed the XL width conversion....
The pics would have been outside however it is cold and I did not want to go out there with the truck. So, the living room and some baby toys are there as well.

It's a XL custom build. Just about all parts are new, bought part by part from ebay chop shops. With the IRC / Losi shock setup. I think the tank is a ofna can't remember. Pretty much all info is in my orginial thread (below). No in these pix it's a Ofna quick start, which didn't last long with the Picco. I have purchased a Tiger Drive which is on the bench not install yet. Kinda waiting for spring. Oh the tank is now secured.

I have me a little girl turning two next month (she loves her little babies). I am excited for her as I might not get to see her third birthday. All depends on how things go here with our new president. He has not been signing bills and orders that are in my favor lately.
I am also going to comment on your Savage XL!! Very nice, I like the shock conversion. I am also going to have the ofna tankn mod on my XL however I am going to hang it off the side in the standard mounting position. When my tank comes in I will post some pics.

Do you have any recent pictures on how you secured the tank?

Kinda bad shot thru the body pic, but you get the Idea. I just used a couple of these upper arm braces (86048), cut one end off, drilled a hole in it with a very small bit for the clip. Then a small hole in each TVP. It's on there real good. I hope that helps.
