Is it true the reverse module reduces the torque or something like that?
Is it worth getting? What if you get in front of a tree with no reverse? Do you go pick it up and turn it yourself?
Thanks

of course it's worthy!and it won't reduce torque as long as you assembly it correctly and "break in "for a little while such as running at half open throttle for a smoother gear mesh.anyway, walking over and pick your car frequently can be so boring

the gears in the reverse module is a little tight in the beginning especially reverse.so don't run it too fast before you can push the car without any sensate friction.

GET IT!!!!! GET IT!!!!! GET IT!!!!! GET IT!!!!! GET IT!!!!! You will love it. However it's kind a hard to control the truck when driving fast back wards
But it is worth every single $$$$.

now, after breaking in the reverse module (fully broken in)
would it hurt the tranny/reverse module to go back, then abruptly go forward to do a wheelie?

I wouldn't do it. When i first got my savage with the reverse module, i hit the reverse in about 5mph forward and the tranny broke. I was lucky cause i got one new for free. But before i went back to my LHS i opend it to see what was wrong, and after seeing those tiny cogweels i have been really careful with the throtle when i use the reverse.

basically the revers module is not made to be used while still moving at all. it has to move gears, and it is not like the 2 gear shifter. its like a real car. u dont just shift whenver u want. u get to the right speed in a real car or in our case stopped, clutch then shift. the stopped part takes care of the clutch basically and u shift. so u wouldnt want to be going or even coasting down a slope and trying to change. can be bad!

i liked the reverse except for one MAJOR thing. the smallest gear in it is the one that breaks,(i've done it twice). it's probably a two $ gear however to replace it you have to buy the whole gear set. it cost me 45$ for the reverse and a gear set is 35$ and all i needed was the little gear. when you do use reverse use it only for backing out of trouble, and never give it a full speed run in reverse that little gear isn't mounted on any bearrings, just a small shaft.
