How do you find out your savage's frequency??
As I was inspecting my brand spanking new savage, I noticed that I could'nt find the exact frequency number on the radio or in the reciever. Where can I find out what frequency I have because I have several cars and I dont want a little umm.....misfortune.
Thanks, Tom
P.S. On my box, there is a green number 5 sticker, I think that sticker pertains to the frequency that I have but I need to know the exact number (I dont want my t-maxx and new savage going WOT without control now do I?)
Thanks, Tom

Usually the frequency crystals have the exact frequency stamped on the side - might want to check that.
Channel # Color Frequency
1 Brown 26.995 mhz
2 Red 27.045 mhz
3 Orange 27.095 mhz
4 Yellow 27.145 mhz
5 Green 27.195 mhz
6 Blue 27.255 mhz

Snowbl!nd, are these frequencies universal across manufacturers? I was thinking they were, so when I bought my Savage I made sure to get a different 'color' than my other vehicles.
Edit - God my spelling sucks!

I'm pretty sure they are, i have never had any frequency conflicts between cars when each was using a different "colour", and it is very unlikely that each car was using crystals by the same manufacturer.
Oh, and just a little fact...
It is possible to get "split-band" frequency crystals, which are actually in-between those six bands, giving a total of eleven different bands on the 27mHz frequency! They work perfectly (and very few people have tham, so you are much less likely to have a frequency conflict when you use your car!)

Thanks guys!!! You're right the frequency was stamped on the crystal but it was extremely light so I had to inspect it in close light thanks!!!

The crystal numbers are of course universal, otherwise imagine the hell at a major RC event like Gas Champs or something
