In the automotive industry, $400 is nothing. I had a hit and run done on my car, (A few dents and scratches) it cost me $1264.68 The car looked horrible, so I shelled out the cash. On the other hand, I am going to get a savage ss 4.6 today. I cannot wait!!!

$400 is absolutly nothing when talking about car repairs.... I've spent $1500 just on parts for repairs before (I do most of the labor myself). My brothers wife just hit a sign post with her Toyota Sequoia and it was just under $10,000 in repairs and that was purely cosmetic.

Dude,
A car's 36,000 mile tune-up can come close to $400, let alone a major breakdown. You will soon understand all this when you get your license in a few years.

How can you do $3600 in damage on a Civic by hitting a curb? I did the same with an accord and after a trip to a junkyard for a couple of control arms I was out $50. Then another $60 to have it aligned. But yes I do agree, ice is tricky and can really lead to some damage.
