Default Cooling head trick

I've seen a truck in the LHS that had zip ties around the top of the cooling head, and I've seen several on the net like that. What's the reason behind this? Is it to protect the head when you roll it or land it upside down? I've already got a couple of battle scars on my cooling head and was just wondering if that would minimize damage, or if there was a different reason for it.

best way to that is to put the zip wraps inside a bit of fuel pipe the attach them to the cooling head

I've also seen people tie fuel tubing around the head. I just use zipties, they work well.

Use some quality zipties. Dont use the jar for $5 from Walmart because they will rip off everytime. Get some from the auto parts store or hardware store.
