Default Savage 4.6 compression

Hello

I just wanted to find out how to tell if the compression on the 4.6 is ok, when i pull the pull starter the engine is very loose, it has just run about 2 gallons of fuel throught it.The engine still has lots of power so i am not sure if it is on the way out.

spin the flywheel, if you can spin it very easy then your compression is bad

I can spin the flywheel, its loose but takes some effort to turn.
Still leaning towards the os 30vg, anyone had experience with the engines?
