engine starting remedies?

hi, sometimes my sts .28 just does not feel like starting. well... its is just 3 days old but is that a problem? can i have some engine sarting remedies? today i broke the pullstarter trying to start it.

Did you heat the motor with a heat gun or hair dryer first?

yes i did, when i tried starting it it sort of started. the fuel combusted but only when pulling the cord
