Get a smaller clutch bell/bigger spur gear.

Even with a smaller clutch bell and larger spur gear, it still won't if the tune is not good. A major factor in performance overall as well as for wheelies is to have it dialed in right.

one of the ways I was able to pull wheelies was putting a locker in the rear diff,I dont know if you want to have the loss in steering, but I did that and could flip mine on the lid.

tune for performance now. The engine will really open up towards the end of the first gallon. They seem to wake up around the one gallon mark. Dont expect wheelies on the first tank on asphult. Half way thru the third tank my 4.6 started to wheelie in the grass only. Tank 5 gets run tommorrow.

What if he is already too rich?

Make sure the truck is properly tuned before you start wanting wheelies. If you still can do it without mods add some alum shoes and if you really want to increase the spur size by a couple of teeth.

Another thing to check for is that it's not changing up to second gear too quickly. The boxes come sealed, and I think they are all built with the same settings. I thought my 4.6 was not changing up for ages so I kept adjusting the second gear change point lower and lower, when in fact it was changing up as soon as it took off so it was always in second, and It'll never lift the front wheels like that! Now i've got the change points right it's always popping wheelies!

Here is one problem everyone forgets:

Even a well tuned nitro engine will gradually load up with fuel when idling, creating a rich condition. When one wants to wheelie, alot of times folks will stop and idle for a few moments and then try to launch it.

Sometimes the best wheelie condition is when you are coming off full throttle, you stop or nearly come to a stop and then you instantly nail it. The carb/engine system is pretty free of any excess fuel (you have the hi-speed running right of course), and when you nail it, you are still in the sweet spot of tune. Additionally, the front shocks have compressed and are now rebounding, while the rears are doing just the opposite -- just what you need to get that inertia needed.

I have a nice little Hyper 21 8port in a stock Savage 21 (slightly stiffend rear shocks) and it flips every now and then, not just wheelie.

I have to agree with Philster, thats the only way i would get my savage to wheelie when i had the s-25 in there. When your engine dies get something with loads of torque, then youll be complaining that the damn thing wont keep its wheels down...

Adjust the break knob. If you already have, replace the piece of fuel tubing on the break linkage with a piece of tubing out of ink pen. Or get a stronger servo and 6v battery pack.

I drive with a lotta full scale vehicles on my street, so I have to set the brakes so when I slam the trigger full forward, the truck almost instantly stops. [X(] This is running with single fiber disk brakes.

Ha ha yea the ltd edition has the best brakes i have ever used! On full throttle it takes about 1 metre to come to a dead stop! And that means stoppies lol. Ive also put in a hump pack so its gonna be even better.

if you want wheelies on a stock s25 just get aluminum clutch shoes 3shoe if you dont already have them and some trinity 30% nitro it wont stop doing wheelies then. p.s. make sure you get a wheelie bar

The wheelie bar is ugly and reminds me of training wheels on a bike! Also you shouldnt use 30% for any nitro car and it wouldnt make it that fast. It will probably start doing them once i tweak the LSN.

it will shorten your engines life drastically. Not enough lubrication, the difference is minimal compared to adjusting the high or low end neeedle in 1/8th increments. Use 20% or maybe 25%, but 25% made my thunder tiger overheat.
