Default Does anyone else suffer from this?

I took my 4.6 out this arvo for a bit of Friday stress relief at the local BMX track. I ran 3 tanks through and i broke nothing , had a ball and all was well. Jumps were good, long and high. Powerslides were a breeze.
Now for the "suffer" bit. It seems that whenever i go out with friends we break all sorts of parts. Sometimes not even getting to finish a tank of fuel between us!
Perhaps when we get together we are more keen on that beer down the pub afterwards, perhaps.
Any thoughts??

I think it may be because when you are out with others running your trucks and what not, you are trying to out do the other guy. People usually get careless when they are trying to show up someone. [X(]

Bashing with friends: = broken parts

Bashing with friends to define "king of the hill" = MANY broken parts

Bashing with friends to define "king of the hill" while drinking beer = Trucks going home TRASHED in boxes. (but WAY too many laughs)!

amec, I KNOW my broken parts are quite often trying to keep up with you, so yours must be by showing off [8D]
Lets see if we make it home with nothing broken tomorrow morning..... its to early for beers, but then again I guess its midday somewhere in the world

I thought savages didnt break? And are pretty much king of bashing in terms of indestructability? Or is Bashing and Beating two different things?

regards,
a new savager waiting for better weather

Well i knew straight away the savage isnt indistructable, you gotta love the design though.
If you went back in time to the 60's, people will be amazed at the savage its an awsome bit o' kit
But no RC car is unbreakable, but the savage is pretty much the king of the hill and you can drop it from an impressive height and it doesnt bottom out. None of my cars break alot though, partly because im a good driver lol and partly because im careful and i dont say "oh look a wall lets throttle it and see if it can break the wall down" Lol.
Just next time think about what your doing abit more maybe and try not to crash.

Lets face it, they are only toys after all. My main breakage is spur gears, there is now a titanium spur in place which is working well. I have yet to break any suspension arms, bulk head or shock tower. I slightly bent a tvp once. A "few" body shells have bit the bin as well. The skid plates are getting close to worn through as well. All in all a very strong truck.
My tmaxx was very weak, i lost count of how many times i had that tranny apart. Or snapped driveshafts, a arms etc. RPM parts replaced most things on it..... Maxx now has a picco max.26 installed so he is up any running again, we'll see for how long.
Hey boydie, dont let Amy see your sig. You'll be in deep do do.

Morning car park bash & no breakages except one stripped spur from doing donuts on wet asphalt, but that doesn't count.
Yeah, I had better alter that. My wife still thinks I have only ONE savage
She must be getting suspicious though when the engine always appear to change & the shock socks are different colours.
I know I got away with it once just telling her I bought another body.

How does your wife not know you have 2 Savages? I wouldn't think something like a Savage would be that easy to hide.

lol. My garage is separate from my house which is actually more my workshop. As my wife has no interest in my rc cars or when I'm working on real cars she just tends to stay out, unless she's raiding the fridge for alcohol.
I can actually tell her about my 2nd savage today as a friend of mine who works at a rubbish dump is bringing over two boxes or rc cars that were thrown out. I don't know the condition of these but the last lot I got off him were in good enough condition to sell on ebay to buy my first savage. ( I think they were from a jilted wife/girlfriend as all they needed were tuning, and one needed a set of tyres) I'll just tell her it was in the box [8D]

That's why we both have hobby accounts....she doesn't complain about what I spend mine on and vice versa
