Default mgt parts help

Does anyone know what the black things in the MGT box in the little bag that holds the wheel nuts in go to. They look like shock cups or spacers is this anywhere near right Please advise. THanks

I certainly do...although i have the Thunder Tiger version (MT-A4). Same truck, different packaging.

What do you want to know? And if you give me a few minutes i'll post some pics of it, just had it stripped down after racing last Sunday.

Yours have the 4.6 in it also? What is with people cutting the windshield out.. I know for air but is it that big of a deal if the engine is setup right?

I have the original .21 - i was going to replace it with a Picco .26 but recently the stock engine has been performing great - it was very fast around the track, pulling wheelies and keeping up with just about everything else there. Another racer asked me if it was the .28 version as it was running so well!

I would reccomend cutting the windshield out (part of it anyway) - just to increase airflow over the engine head. It probably doesn't make much difference in reality, but it won't hurt performance to do it. I'll post a pic of what i did to the front windshield...as soon as i can find the camera.

that looks like a good idea drilling the holes out. I may do it that way or maybe do slits. that would be different..

Not done much to it except...

* Channel 4 mod
* 5-cell hump pack
* Alu diff mounts @ alu diff clamps
* Zip-tied the front & rear bumpers
* Firm sprigs all round

The holes were done by tracing around a 5p coin, then drilling a very small hole in the centre of each hole, followed by using a dremel and a grinding wheel. Took ages but it works, looks good (i think so anyway) and it's held up well considering.

I don't know how much airflow you'd get using slits, i guess it depends how wide each one was...

And is there any particular reason why this is in the HPI forum? [&:] lol

They did... and then removed it. There just weren't enough people with one to warrant keping the dedicated forum running. There are a few good "general MGT" threads around though - have a look in the general MT section and i'm sure you'll trip over them.
