Sound in AFPD
#1
I have a soundblaster live 5.1 card, and the latest drivers for it... The sound in AFPD seems "crackly" especially at about 1/4 throttle on most of the planes... is this normal or am I having some sort of problem here?

Haven't heard that one. No "crackly".
I know you guys from Delaware (Dover especially) tend to have hearing problems due to the C5's flying right over your rooftops.

LOL, yeah it's reallly strange.. I've updated the drivers and tried everything I can think of... It just has a "static" sound in it... I even thought maybe it was picking something up from my radio somehow, so I tried a joystick for a minute just to see.... Still same thing with the sound... I dunno... I'll keep working on it..

I had that kind of problem with my Soundblaster Live card, too. I also had some trouble with the stereo effect, too. When the stereo sound panned back and forth, the sound would often cut out completely as the sound moved across the center (using 2.1 speakers). I bought the Soundblaster Audigy 2 ZS card, and the sound is great, no problems since, so it was the card that was the root of the problem.
