Hi Guys
I’m only usually looking on this forum. But hears my problem. I just treat myself to the deluxe version, coming from the standard AFP and easy fly before that. I went through the load up and it installed ok and I got a good 10 minutes flying in, set up was easy enough. However towards the end I had a few lockouts, and now my computer will not recognise the USB lead at all. I can’t get past the start-up screen. I’ve been trying most of today by clearing out lots of unused rubbish, de-fragment but it just wont recognise the cable. I have checked all the connections a hundred times. Grrrr.
Last thing, could the dongle be Knackered?
Any ideas please guys,
Thanks

The odds of it being a bad cable is one in thousands.
Since we have been selling AFP we have only found 1 defective cable and that person was able to solder it himself in 1 minute. Many people have mailed them to us, but only to discover it was their machines all the time.
The best way to trouble shoot your cable is to try it on another computer. You don't need to install the software, just go into control panel/joysticks and see if you can get any activity. However you must still have your controller powered up.

Hi STLPilot thanks for the input. Right, touch wood it will still work. What I did was to go into device manager and delete all the detected USB’s. Then when I rebooted windows she auto detected, and now it works. Phew….
Had a little play and pretty cool.
Oh and there is a small patch on ipacs site for this problem , i found this after i fixed mine...doh
