Hi
I know im a worry wart when it comes to internet stuff and im also new at this AFPD as it came in the little brown truck today.
I had my fire wall warn me a few times that AFPD had changed and wanted to get on the network it kept interupting my flight so finnaly i was pissed and let it . I know allways a bad idea to let unknowns on the network. here is a copy of what the fire wall had:
The executable has changed since the last time you used: D:\Program Files\IPACS\AeroFly Professional Deluxe\afprod.exe
File Version : 1.8.0.15
File Description : AeroFly Professional Deluxe main executable
File Path : D:\Program Files\IPACS\AeroFly Professional Deluxe\afprod.exe
Process ID : 0x830 (Heximal) 2096 (Decimal)
Connection origin : local initiated
Protocol : Other
Local Address : 0.0.0.0
Local Port : 0
Remote Name :
Remote Address : 0.0.0.0
Remote Port : 0
Ethernet packet details:
Ethernet II (Packet Length: 56)
Destination: ff-ff-ff-ff-ff-ff
Source: **-**-**-**-**-** <---(My Mac code)----<<<<
Type: ARP (0x0806)
Address Resolution Protocol (ARP)
Hardware type: Ethernet (0x0001)
Protocol type: IP (0x0800)
Hardware size: 6
Protocol size: 4
Opcode: Request
Sender hardware address: **-**-**-**-**-** <---(My Mac code)----<<<<
Sender IP address: 192.168.1.100
Target hardware address: 00-00-00-00-00-00
Target IP address: 192.168.1.102
Binary dump of the packet:
0000: FF FF FF FF FF FF 00 0E : **-**-**-**-**-** | ................
0010: 08 00 06 04 00 01 00 0E : **-**-**-**-**-**| ...............d
0020: 00 00 00 00 00 00 C0 A8 : 01 66 12 7E 64 DE 50 10 | .........f.~d.P.
0030: FC 44 13 C8 00 00 00 00 : | .D......
I was wondering if it was the patch or a downloaded airplane that made the changes to this.
shortly after i was done flying I looked in the firewall and saw a mac spoof from the machine that this contacted. Im not a hacker but it dont sound to good to me. any ideas as to what this thing is doing?

turn your firewall off while using AFPD...you don't need it on....or if you are paranoid about hackers breaking into your computer just unplug the wire to your modem and then use afpd

LOL never ever turn off a fire wall it stopped asking once i let it do it the first time my point was why was it broadcasting a packet in the first place as far as i know this program has no networking funktions I think I just wanted to bring this to the attention of anyone who usses it I have a feeling it was caused from an installed plane that i downloaded I know from installing planes in Microsofts simulators over the years some of the programers put little trackers in the applications to see how many people are ussing there product Kinda like a case studdy to see if its worth charging $ for i guess. I run scans regularly and the machine it wanted to reach out to was on my network so i let it one time and it stopped asking. Damned curiouse if you ask me. But thank you for your input.
