Well I recieved my Aerofly Pro Deluxe today and got it all hooked up and it's just wonderful. My system is more than powerful enough to run it and I am probably getting in excess of 40 frames per second out of it with a large resolution setting. My only problem now is this: It ran fine (and still does technically) until I installed the addons 1, 2, and the patch from www.aerofly.com in the downloads section. Now, whenever I fly vertical for example, my plane flies right off the screen. Before I installed the addons and the patch, the camera would follow the plane wherever it went, but now it won't hardly pan above eye level and I just have to guess where my plane is and try to nose it back down into view. I can't fly any higher than about 200 feet now and its kind of frustrating. [:@] I've tried messing with the views, but I'm very new to the program and will continue tinkering with it, but if anyone has any ideas or advice, they are more than welcome by me. Thanks for any help you all can give me on this.

Hi Pylon, with addons 1 and 2, it is better to install patch 1.9.7.11 If you installed patch 1.11.7.9, you will need to have higher video card performance. If you have already installed 1.11.7.9, I would advise you to uninstall/reinstall AFPD using the instructions at the bottom of this page http://www.aerofly.com/www/downloads.html then use patch 1.9.7.11
Can you tell me which scenery you are using - photoscenery or 3D?

I fly almost soley photo-real sceneries. The sceneries worked just fine until I installed the new stuff, but like I say I am getting probably over 40 frames per second with it, so its not a video card issue, its the in-game camera. I don't think I need the patch though, I'll go revert back to the original AFPD and backup the extra planes and scenery from the addons and put them back in there manually. That way I can hopefully have it all without changing the nit-picky details of the files that make the thing work. Thanks for the advice, rajul!

Update:
I uninstalled and reinstalled the AFPD program as well as both addons, but elected not to use the patch this time and it all works fine. Thanks for the advice.

Hi Pylon, thanks for the update and it's good to know all is fine now. I would like to request for some info from you for my records:
- the main AFPD disk version (written on disk)
- addon 1 disk version (written on disk)
- addon 2 disk version (written on disk)
- version number displayed in the AFPD main menu (top right corner)
Thanks!

I do not have the CD's handy at the moment, they are at a friends house. After installing both addons, my AFPD homescreen says I am running version 1.9.7.9 Please remember this is without the downloadable patch from www.aerofly.com. Sorry I couldn't have the other numbers for you.

Hi Mike,
I have AFPD 1.8.0.17
Is it recommended that all patches be installed, or only the most recent?
I have no add-ons specifically for AFPD.
I think I heard some time back that the add-ons from AFP do not work with AFPD.
I am currently uninstalling all AFPD and then clearing the registry of all IPACS and AFPD entries before I reinstall.
I am trying to get AFPD to recognize my RFG4 Interlink Elite Controller.

Thank you Mike,
I will try to stick with one location. I was trying to get it into a most appropriately entitled thread, or whatever, so when I came up with a little more information I posted it where it seemed right, which was not following the original directly.

Hi
When you are on the flying sreen, then go into the options screen and there you find something like "camera move"-setting or something like that. Move the slider to the left side and then try again. This setting was changed in the update you installed and should give you a better view/camera-feeling when flying with helicopters.
But when flying with planes the value should go to 0%.
Sorry, that i cannot write the right setting name, because i have the german version of AFPD.
Regards
Robert
