Gentleman,
I have AFPD with everything working properly. I just tried to install Add-On 5 and not only didn't the install go well, But I can't get any of AFPD to work. I keep getting a "main executible has stopped working" message. I am running Vista with Add-Ons 1, 2 & 4 as well as Starflight.
Any ideas as to what the problem is?
Update: I just did a removal of Add-On 5 not only did Add-On 5 not work, the previous set-up without Add-On 5 no longer works
Thanks
Charlie

Hi Charlie, could you tell me in which directory did you install AFPD and Addon5? Which video card are you using? Pls post your tm.log file which you can find in the AFPD directory. You may open the file with a text editor like word or notepad. Just copy and paste the entire content into your email. Thanks

Mike,
Installation is in C:/Program Files/IPACS/Aerofly Professional Deluxe.
Video card is Nvidia GeForce 8500GT.
The tm.log file is blank
I removed all the Aerofly files and reloaded the program along with Add-ons 1, 2 and 4 as well as upgrading to version 1.11.
Everything worked fine.
I tried reloading add-on 5 and the program crashed again
I tried loading the Program in D: directory. no luck there.
Just tried reloading the program in the C: directory and now I can't get anything to work.
Thanks
Charlie

Hi Charlie, did you follow the uninstallation procedure given at the bottom of this page http://www.aerofly.com/www/downloads.html ? Can you check the version number printed on your main AFPD disk? Thx

Mike,
Used the sequence shown above. Added add-on 4. It raised the Version to 1.11.7.7. Ran the program and everything worked.
Added Add-On 5 and ran version 1.11.7.21 and the program crashed

Hi Charlie, if your tmlog file is empty it is an indication that you have installed in the wrong directory. Can you tell me how you installed AFPD, the addons, and the patch? Did you install them automatically, or did you install them into a certain directory? Did you disable UAC (user account control) in Vista?

The newer disk version 1.11.x.x installs into the correct directory in vista automatically, but not the older versions like 1.8.x.x As such pls try to install the main disk, the addons and patch in vista using the procedure which you can download here http://www.aerofly.com/ipacs_vista.pdf Disable the UAC too
One more thing is that since you're installing Addon 5, there is no need to install any patch anymore. So, just install the main disk and addons in sequence to the correct directory as per the instructions

Mike,
Did the delete and reinstall per instructions. With UAC off I could get to the point of registering, but kept getting an error message that the number was invalid.
I had to turn the USC on again to log in here, and when I did the program crashed again

Hi Charlie, you should download the license file for addons 3, 4 and 5 and put it into the new AFPD directory. The license files need to be in this directory for the Addon program to recognise it. You could use this link to download the license files http://www.aerofly.com/activate.php?lang=en
