Can anyone help me get a Trex-600 working on AFPD for Mac.
I have downloaded Patrick Libby's Trex-600 from http://www.rc-sim.de/ and have copied it into the aircraft folder. It works, but with no color and some parts of it are partially transparent. If I erase the three .jpg files, then it is solid white with no transparent parts.
My version of AFPD for Mac is 1.11.07.31.
Thanks in advance,
Matt

Hi Matt,
you should send an email to Patrick: wingnutpat (at) adelphia.net
He used the following texture files:
Trex600.jpg (1024x1024 bpi)
Trex600II.jpg (1024x1057 bpi)
Trex600III.jpg (2053x1740 bpi)
and the preview file
Thumbs.bmp (607x700 bpi).
To get it to work all texture files should be 24-bit-bmp files with a size of 128x128, 256x256, 512x512, 1024x1024 or 2048x2048 bpi.
The texture files are used for the 3-D model during the creation with e. g. MetasequoiaLE, therefore only Patrick can fix it! (The result of the conversion is the .tgo file, which cannot be edited.)
The name of the preview file must be thumb.bmp and should have a size of 256x256 bpi!
Regards
Arthur

Hi Matt,
that's a pity, I don't have another one.
Anyone out there who knows how to contact Patrick Libby??
Arthur
BTW:
I noticed, that there are 2 Versions of the T-Rex 600 available on Rc-sim. The 2nd one has jpg's with the right size (1024x1024), but maybe the jpg support is not available for the MAC version of AFPD. Therefore the same problem.

Arthur,
I tried both of them. I just tried the one with the right size .jpg and even converted the .jpg's to bmp's , but still the same results. Thanks for ideas.

Hi Mike,
I just tried making all the file names lower case using both the .jpgs and .bmps with the same result. Thanks for the try.

Any news on this. Same problem here. The Mac Aerofly does not seem to recognize the .jpg's. Anyone know how to fix this?
Thanks

if the model has an .obj file in the model aircraft folder, you can open this file, search for .jpg and alter it to .bmp. Then open all .jpg files with e. g. Paint and save them as 24-bit bmp files.
If there is no .obj file but only a .tgo file, you have to contact the author of the model and ask him for help (he must change the .jpg entires to .bmp).
After that it should work.
Arthur
