Allen:
I'll bring the music but as far as an aresti good luck with me getting one ready. I might have one day this weekend to setup something if I get the 3-w finished to fly.

Just a note to let you guys know Eddie Meyer had his surgery and had some complications and is not feeling to well so if you can drop him a short line to wish him well. He was aking about everyone and told me to say hello.

I hope there will be unknowns in Basic, there was supposed to be one at the Spring Fling - but technical difficulties squashed that. Should make that goal a little more difficult to obtain
RickP

Unknowns in Basic? That would seem to be contrary to the spirit of Basic... getting new blood in to the sport and allowing them to be competitive.
Basic should be just that, a basic pattern. If you ready for Unknowns you should be flying Sportsman.

Just my 2 cents [8D]

Don't know how we'll do as far as competition goes, BUT.....

From Long Island, most LIMAC members will be competing in the TOC of Maryland.

We'll have at least (2) Basic Pilots, (5) Sportsman, (1) Intermediate, (1) Advanced, (1) Unlimited

COOL !!

Going to be a blast................BAM !!!!

I stretched it a little bit.........but Rich Fletcher, the Northeast director, is a member in our club, LIMAC.

He's more of a city boy........but we call him one of our own

See you all there !!

I would sure the heck like to participate in Basic however,my plane and radio are new plus I've not learned all the sequences yet much practiced the whole thing in an effort to be ready,PLUS our club is having two different events this comming TOC weekend and I've been asked at one time or another, to participate in both events,so I know the Maryland TOC is not going to happen too likely for me. So 'edgeworker,if you have any near the super experienced and helpful pilots as P.G.R.C.'s, you should get coached through the sequence ok. As to stinking always position self down wind from the contestants,as for thejudges thats up to you.. good luck&good flying!

Dave,

I spent all last night listening to music. I have a couple of songs kevin would listen to stuck in my head, but I don't want to insult people by using them

So I don't even have anything to mix yet. A bit late I know. I guess I will just bring a bunch of cd's down and put on whatever . . .

You guys should have come down to Mocksville, North Carolina. Yesterdays practice was pretty much a washout until late in the afternoon. Today was another story. 80 degrees and almost no wind. Looking forward to tomorrow. Weather forecast is for more of the same. Hope you guys get your contest going.

Ughhh,
What a weekend. Got to Maryland nice and early on Friday afternoon only to break my header on the first flight [>:] Got it fixed but gave me fits the entire weekend. Rained all day saterday and spent the day in the hotel lobby making fomies LOL. We got two rounds in on Sunday in an abreviated one day contest. We were water logged but each class got two known rounds and the freestyle also got squeezed in. No unknowns though...

As much as I was totally geared up to fly.........

After the washout on Saturday, and the fact that Sunday would run real late, I decided to bail out Sunday morning.

I felt really bad for Art, after seeing all the work he put in to have a great weekend.

At least I got home to L.I. without any traffic. I'm upset I didn't get the chance to compete though.

It was great seeing all the guys......hats off to those who stuck it out and flew.......the Sat dinner was cool....

the foamie flights in the schoolyard were awesome. Oh well. Next time.

Anybody posting the results of the contest, even though it was abreviated ??

Steve Beach.
