Why Thank You Darrin for the kind words! Back to the TBM 260, I was one of Genes builders up here in MI before he moved. The plane constantly gained weight through it's evolution of improvements. The biggest gain in my opinion was the balsa sheeting. The early planes suffered damage easily from handling because of the light density sheeting. Gene decided that the heavier sheeting would be more durable and the added weight did not hamper the planes excellent flying characteristics. Personally I would like to see a 1/8" aircraft ply motorbox instead of 1/4" lite ply. I have the last 42% we built in MI on the table and I am getting ready to cover it shortly.

Wow,
Pretty amazing how people can draw such conclusions before even giving a chance. Let me be the first to squash any and all rumors about the TBM 260 recently purchased by Tony Russo.
First and Foremost, Tony Russo is the best friend that a guy could ever have. I have been best friends with Tony for four years, and it pains me to see conclusions being drawn before the first plane rolls off the line. Tony and I have been working together for these years in pursuit of a lifelong dream of mine to be the best pilot that I can be. I feel that Tony has given me the opportunity to attain my goals and I think that the results have spoken for themselves. Tony is the main person responsible for me having airplanes in excellnt order and ready for competition. When Tony says something, you can take it to the Bank...PERIOD. If he says something, I listen.
His measurements are precise and airplanes are built extremely straight.
To attain the Goals that I have set, one must have the best help out there. Tony is just that!
He will improve the design of the 260. I will guarantee that after we are finished with it, the aircraft will be a very big improvement over previous aircraft. Both in Structure and Precision.
Aircraft upgrades will include better wind handling characteristics, stronger structure, and less mixing.
I have always found the 42% 260 to be an amazing airplane. I am looking foreward to working with Tony to make this project a success.
Tony has built many Aircraft for me over the years, and I have no reservations staking my reputation on his work.

I realize lightness and structural rigidity which is paramont is the name of the game here when a flyier gets to some of you guys potential level.. I would like to see one of you artistic type's do the 42% 260 replicating Patty W's Extra 260 full scale nationals winner which now hangs out at the Smithsonian.[8D]
