I wanted to thank all my fellow competitors for the great time this past week at the Shootout. Everybody was extremely friendly and eager to help out anybody who was having problems. That's the way the hobby needs to be all the time. I had a great time, and congratulations to Frazier. Does anybody have any video yet?
Thanks and hope to see you all soon in the near future!

Last time I checked the airplane was still sitting in MY garage!!!
LOL......I can still cuddle with it for a few more hours before I have to give her up.

No worries Wayne. That airplane obviously has some type of ground avoidance system built into it. I've never seen anyone fly so low and not get spooked in the slightest.
Nice flying Jason!

I keep saying we need a W-2 rule. You have to prove you earned the money to buy what you are flying. Kids are bad enough, but SPONSORED KIDS?? Give me a break. How do us old farts stand a chance?
Mike, you can help. Horizon, Hobbico and all other manufacturers need to immediately suspend ALL sponsorship of anyone under the age of 30. Then we impose the W-2 rule on all the other young guns. Then maybe we make them fly with one hand, and blindfolded. Perhaps then the playing filed will start to level off a bit.
At least that's one idea!! [&:]

I was joking.
Jason is no kid. He's just a lot younger than me.
I am all for sponsorships of young kids. They are the future of the hobby.
Sorry Jason for hijacking your thread.

I was dead serious. This is a terrible trend. Too many young guns that grew up with video games. I think that maybe we need a pre-Pong Class. That way those of us who were too early to benefit from the video and computer game revolution can battle against others with similar handicaps!!

You did an awesome job of low flying Jason. At times I thought you were below ground level, but the plane just refused to acknowledge it!! Too cool.

Thank you very much. I have burned lots of gas this past season to get comfortable enough to do such things. I have never been so comfortable flying an airplane. I feel like I am a part of it sometimes. Even for the plane weighing 42 lbs, it still manages to find it's way around.
I have to say Mike, You impressed the crap out of me again. Your always so calm, and then go up there and put in a burner flight. Congratulations!

it was a pleaseure flying with you this season and I hope we get to see you as much next year.
Wayne, all I can say is that you have a very well trained airplane on the way - don't go teaching it bad habits now

You don't get to fly like that by never crashing...
Most of us are too chicken to try those maneuvers with our expensive planes and hence we never learn them!!
No risk.. no reward!!
One of the "good" 3D heli guys told me it took him $15,000 in bent up parts to get to where he was now...
I have seen a few of the TOC guys pound 'em in too so you wanna play you gotta pay!
All you shootout pilots - great job this past weekend.
You are an inspiration to us all!

Jason's flying is so crazy . he scared me every time he flew . I thought something would happen , but after about twenty low passes, you knew nothing would happen.. My friend has a picture of Jason doing a low slow roll and it was about a foot off the ground..I"ll get it posted on here soon.. You DA man Jason ,and I don't want to be flying against you next year.. It's just not fair!!! dewey

I was a judge in the first round of Freestyle. I'm still replaying the four point roll Jason did in my head and it will not register. That roll was sooooooo loooooooow. You absolutely had to see it to believe it. No one mentioned that he throttled up to full motor about 100 yards before starting the roll! He had to be doing 100 mph!

Jason,
I wish I could have made it out to fly with you. Looks like you impressed lots of people as you always do me when I watch you fly. And I can vouch for Jason's practice schedule - the man is nuts. Looking forward to seeing you again next season. Now get that next airplane finished so you have something else to fly!

I think all of the young guys flying so well is called progress.
Its great to see some of the guys today that were little kids we saw at the field not too long ago doing amazing things. Jason, Mark L etc. Cant stop progress guys, its better to watch and enjoy it.
