Bill, I noticed in an earlier posting in your reply to pks 560 you said I might have increased my score if I had flown my sequences " in the way they were designed to be flown" (Advanced) ------ could you walk me through the placement of each manuver the way it was designed to be flown so that I could give it a try and see what that presentation looks like.

Thanks in advance,

David Smith
I was referring to the Intermediate sequence since that is the one I wrote and that was the subject of the video I was commenting on. Talk to Wheeler. He wrote the Advanced seqeunce.

I dislike the advance sequence. It may be fun to fly, but it stinks to judge. Especially if every pilot insists on gigantic figures. As I mentioned before, Figures 1 and 3 are flown way out on either end to accommodate the 180 roller. Then they would have to drive to the extreme opposite side of the "box" to begin a three figure line.

Then, figure 8 is a half roll, half inside loop with an 8 point roll on the exit, followed by a negative spin. If you did the half inside loop tight, then the 8 point really put you in the next county for the spin. So many did the spin downwind at the Challenge that it ended up in the next county. Most didn't do it tight, but that didn't stop them from driving into the next county anyway to do the spin.

I did not like judging advance.
