ATTENTION TO ALL CONTESTANTS ENTERED IN THE
BEAR MOUNTAIN IMAC FOR THIS WEEKEND March 19-20th

The National Weather report says:

80 % on Friday...lots of Precipitation and no practice
80 % on Saturday....lots of Precipitation and mud at the field
...and probably no flying.
20-30 % on Sunday with conditions better, but not that good.

We deeply regret this because it was going to be an outstanding
contest. We are planning to reschedule the contest for May 28-29th.

This is just a Mother Nature Glitch and we the organizers of this
event want everything to be perfect and so we have made this last
minute call and hopefully you will all understand and stay dry this
weekend.

Unfortunatly I can't make the one in my own backyard either.

My wife has a doc appt that she's been waiting for over a year for. And she can't drive to it, so I have to take her. I may make the sunday portion, but I'm not sure yet.

Well, there went my first place trophy! Heh Heh!

It doesn't seem like a lot of us are going to be able to make it on the newly scheduled Memorial Day weekend either. Anyone tried to make any reservation with the recommended hotels/motels or any other motels in the area? "No Availability" is all I've been getting. Anyone got any ideas?

Do a search on www.expedia.com. There are rooms available through Expedia.com for that weekend in Bakersfield.

I have added the Expedia.com link to the contest website. Also, updated the hotel list with some new hotels that Mark & Debbie Lattimore contacted and verified rooms were available when they called to check.

Anna.. Thanks! Yeah, I used Travelocity too and found there were quite a few available. Now I guess I'm out of excusses, huh?

Just talked with Frank.. He got a "kitchen pass" to go and he asked if I'd make reservations for you and him. Chuck and I will be sharing the other room. But.. Don't blame me if I pick the worst dive in Bakersfield. They all look good in the pictures LOL..

Fine with me~ I've been to plenty of Dives...........Now I need to put my plane back together and start practicing. Need to practice my pattern also. Incase you didn't hear......we'll be at the field at 6am on Sat........due to it being trainer day. I should have my pattern plane ready to fly! I hope to bring the edge also

I don't do Saturday's and Sunday's UNLESS there's a contest. Those days are left for my precious, loving, beautiful and most understanding wife. (Man I hope she reads this)

I might be there also if these new ones from Tom get here soon. You know what I mean. I might be heading down with Tom if all ends up good.

Sounds good.. But promise me - no Irish Car thingies until AFTER the contest! I know you've probably got a team of people to put your new arrival together, but if you need any more help, give me a shout. I sure hope you don't get a LEMon.

see you guys at the meeting tonite. I'm going to try to make it out the field friday afternoon to test fly the Eclipse. Tomorrow I'm putting the Edge electronics back in.
