Default SAME servo setup for IMAC and 3D??

I fly mostly 3D and use a low rate for flying "IMAC" style, is this possible?? Lets say I have 50 degrees of travel on the elevator and the ATV is set at 125% when I switch to low rate and have only 10 degrees of elevator travel I'm only using 25% of the servos travel. Will I lose too much resolution this way? Also when the surfacse is set up for so much throw any servo back-lash is magnified.

So do you 3D on high and IMAC on low OR have a separate plane for each??

Suggest you referee to Model Aviation Feb. 05 issue a good 2 part article(Feb. and conclusion in the April issue of M.A. in the monthly (Radio Control Scale Aerobatics column)I think you will be glad you read the guest article by Peter Goldsmith who is the Team JR manager.

I'm no expert but Mike Hurley's guest speaker covers some fundamentals for a good flying Aerobatic ship covered very well in Peter Goldsmiths guest columnist suggestions on trimming and set up.

It is very possible to setup the same plane for both flying styles. Top of the line servos are specifically made for this.

To me, it is not torque but precision that is the most important, after money of course! I did find precision only on the best servos.

It does seem to be true, money buys precision. My QQ Yak has Hitec 5925's on the elevator and low rates seem pretty presicse even though I'm only using 25 percent of the servo's travel. So I guess the answer might be to just buy high dollar servos, it's cheaper then two planes
