Default question for old timers

i just bought an old extra 260 96inch wing span (32.4%). the guy i bought it from. bought it from a guy who boughtit from a guy. you now the rest. its about 15 to 18 years old. my question is how many companys made such a plane & are any of them still around. i would like to get a new engine cowl for it. ( 96inch span, 77.5inch long, sachs 3.4, patty wagstaff sceem) just like the 1 Jason Shulmon flew in the 94 TOC just 10inch smaller wing span

Default RE: question for old timers

Jason's model was by Pitrate Models which became Powerhouse. I haven't heard much about Powerhouse of late. In any case the link is listed below.

Mostlikely a cowl can be aquired from Fiberglass Specialties. http://www.fiberglassspecialtiesinc.com/
Lanier also makes an Extra in this size however not a 260. That doesn't mean someone modified the plane however. Bob Godfrey at Precision Aviation design produced a kit in this size. Large ARF's weren't in the picture so good luck with your search.
