Hi,
I'm flying a GSP 80" CAP 232 which is supposed to be an IMAC capable airplane (not a good one but enough for practice) but when it is flying in Knife edge attitude it tends to the belly so I have to compensate using elevator, not a great deal, except that when in level flight, when I try to correct straight lines with the rudder, it pitches down really hard. Somebody at the local field told me that it is probably because it is in the nose heavy side but I find it very hard to beleive so that's why I`m asking for your help so What do you think??

Have you checked your CG and thrust lines before?
There is a wonderful article about airplane trimming on the Net, be sure to read it - it's written by Peter Goldsmith, which is a MUST!

Its a Cap. Its going to do that.
Mix it out in your radio and you'll be fine.
Your probably using too much throw on the rudder also.
The GP Cap is a great plane for IMAC. The NC Intermediate IMAC Champion has been flying one all year.
Its been treating him well.
My guess is your set up isnt good for IMAC.

Not competing, only like to practice the pattern. Actually I`m competing at the local F3A championship but it is most a matter of taking the challenge because I'm a very busy person and don't have enough time to practice so I have to get all the chances I got to try to do better.
I consider IMAC and F3A a challenge to get better in flying model airplanes, you know, I like scale also but I found it a little boring some times because it is not that difficult to fly circles and do a victory roll but a slow axial roll is a real challenge to do for example.
Thanks for the link, I`m looking at it
Wgeffon thanks for the imput, this is my first CAP, I`have flown Extras and a Giles but never a CAP and I`m a little dissapointed with this CAP, probably another CAP like the GP you mention is better because this one is really heavy at 18 pounds.

If the plane is more tail heavy, it will require more elevator during knife edge.
This is explained with the fact that you carry down trim for level flight and while in knife edge the down trim adds up to the fact that caps push to the belly due to their shape and things I other don't understand...
So I would actualy advise you to try moving your CG forward bit by bit.
Caps have a lot of character and it is magnified when they are a bit too heavy...
