ORIGINAL: shawn260 You guys know there's already a list for adding pilots too::: http://www.imacwebscore.com/ supposed to have all the contests together........maybe soon! It would be nice to have a preregister button on the http://www.mini-iac.com site where the contest director would get your info to put in the scoring program, and once you pre register It would apperr on a public pilots list.. The combat guys have a nice system. http://www.rccombat.com/events/event...sp?idEvent=464 I hope Anson will be bringing a heli with night blades |

Chuck |
RE: Abilene IMAC
Chuck, you're making the goofy asumption my Extra will last through the week. She must know there is a contest because the canopy hold down has broken, then fixed, then blew off the next day cracking the canopy and mashing the counterbalance on one elev. Fixed all that, the a wheel collar came off today, both first flights(so mucjh for practice)
Who know what I'll have to fix this week!!!! Will be good to see some of the guys/gals haven't seem the last 5 years though. Ed |
RE: Abilene IMAC
Yeah, you're right. I think Mike Scoggin is incorrectly listed in Basic - his brother Paul was in Basic. Seems to me that Mike competed, he flew in Intermediate. However, it wouldn't bother me if he dropped back into Sportsman.
Bobby |
RE: Abilene IMAC
Bobby,
Mike is correctly Listed in Basic! He never flew intermideate. The last time he flew sportsman(or flew at all for that manner), was over 2 years ago. He reqqiested to move back to basic this season and his request was approved. Dan P |
RE: Abilene IMAC
Scott S will not be making it
Here is a little poem to explain Why ODE TO THE Giles A nice Summer Day, The wind was Not high, Scott took off Trying to Fly No Responce, the Giles flew by . As Scott’s butt puckered, His jeans pockets drew in He knew this was a fight that he could not win He gained control for a moment and turned her around, Lost control again and she headed to the ground. The field grew silent, no plane in sight Everyone is thinking, This just isn’t right The search commenced, Scott was Blue Raymond got bull-nettle over his shoe 30 minutes later and a quarter mile away Scott found his plane lying in the hay With a lump in his throat and a Tear in his eye Scott just said Why oh Why They picked up the peaces that were lying around At the grave sight they littered the ground. Thinking back the investigation began What could have caused this loss of a friend The batteries were strong the receiver as well Scott was thinking what the Hell Scott took her home, investigated some more As he laid the peaces on the floor He looked at the receiver once again He realized that the antenna wasn’t in Mystery solved at least he knows why This doesn’t stop the urge to Cry Abilene IMAC is gone like the wind Dan will be going without his Caller and Friend June 4th 2006, May Scotts Gilies Rest in Peace As a pile of sticks. Dan P |

RE: Abilene IMAC
Dan, too bad Scott lost his plane and I'm sorry for his loss but that is a great poem you came up with - even for an engineer!!!

RE: Abilene IMAC

RE: Abilene IMAC

Rick Strange |
RE: Abilene IMAC
Humm, now that you mention it, about the last time you flew was at Little Rock a couple of years ago (where the tall trees were at the south end of the field) and you did fly Sportsman. Sorry, you know what happens with time and memory!!!
Bobby |
RE: Abilene IMAC
Ed. good to have those things happen now i guess.. wo knows. be careful and dont let people talk to you while you assemble.
hmm... have i heard hat before?? have a blast, look for mis understood. that is George, he likes to make sure i beat him so i feel good about myself. Also look fo Duane Cox. both these guys are a blast to fly with locally and have been great helpng me with my planes and getting me imac ready.. cept when george calls the wrong maneuvers or tells me to do a vertical downline during unknowns when i am 100 ft n the air.... but the laughs are worth it and the friends are priceless. Later Chuck |
RE: Abilene IMAC
Sorry guys I was really looking forward to coming to ABilene and flying...But my poor plane...:( But Im moving on to biger and better and greener things and am just going crazy I am so excited. I am getting the new WIld Hare MX2 Prototype. This thing rocks and from what I here perfroms great...My ZDZ made it through the crash and will get put on the MX2. The cause of the Giles crashing was the antenna came out of the reciver due to vibration. Sux!!![:'(] But on this new plane I am running all Futaba pcm dual receivers. In other words I purchased a little insurance. If the Giles would have had 2 receivers this would not have happened. So I am convinced this is A GOOD idea....;)
