P20SE won't achieve idle
Hello,
I have a many years old JetCat P20SE (propane start) that appears to be receiving too much fuel during startup. The acceleration hangs at about 65,000 RPM with lots of blue flames exiting the nozzle and then it decelerates and finally aborts the start with "Low RPM". I had this fixed at one time but now my ECU is locked and I cannot access the "Accelramp" and "RampUpTime" parameters. I can access Uaccelr1 and Uaccelr2 but I'm not sure these will do it. Any suggestions appreciated. I do not want to send it out unless necessary. Also running very old firmware V10.1I. Thanks, Gary

Hello Dave, thank you for responding. Well it was a little more complicated than that. It was in fact the "Accelramp" and "RampUpTime" parameters in the "Pump Adjust" menu. The engine was getting way too much fuel way too quickly at 60,000 RPM. Adjusting these two parameters and also increasing the "Starter Off" RPM to 50,000. the engine now starts reliably. BTW: I forgot to mention I am at 5400 feet (1650 meters) altitude. For these smaller engines that fact alone requires some tuning. I think my little P20 is back to being happy once again. Again, thanks for the response. Gary
