Default GPS/ECU interface

When I bought the Jetcat GPS last year there were no instructions with it. I have been running the system with a tele cable connected to the I/O board and connecting the GSU to the GPS, works fine.

I note that on my new V5 ECUs there is a plug marked GPS. There is also a plug on the GPS but no indication of polarity etc. on the case. Can I connect the GPS to thye ECU using these two plugs and if so what cable is required.

(My new P70 is peforming absolutely superbly in a Bobcat XL and gives almost 10 minutes flying time on the fuel available, landing with a half full fuselage tank ).

Default RE: GPS/ECU interface

Its the original square type, Mick. It worked fine using the v 4 ecu connecting it to the I/O board and the GSU to the GPS. That configuration does not work with my new V5 ECUs which have the separate GPS pin. Looking at the wires on the GPS unit the red cable is to the outside pin but the positive pin on the ECUs are the center pin, which is why I need clarification of pin polarity before connection.

Best regards, David.
