Default Fuel Pump Question

Hi Matt. My saddle tanks on the F-15 were emptying unevenly so I took everything apart to inspect. I noticed that the fuel pump has been just sort of lying on the bottom of the fuselage in front of the forward fuel tank. Ihave 59 flawless flights on the 120SX so I guess I wont change anything. Is this ok? Iwasn't sure if Jetcat recommends hard mounting the pump only or if it's ok that the pump is allowed to "move around". It is wrapped in foam also.

Like Isaid, it's been like this for 59 flights with 0 problems. Just want to clarify.

Thanks

Spence

The plane was actually assembled by someone else and the pump is obscured so I didn't even know it was like that.

typically i don't hard mount mine either, but they don't need to just lay free, I'll wrap them in bubble wrap and poke them in a snug spot for easy removal. if you leave them loose torque can cause a lag in flow as voltages change, it can also twist the lines/wires.

Hi Spence.

i would worry aount it flupping around so much it broke a wire of kinked a hose. If it is restrained even a bit it should be fine
