New DX8 Firmware with changes made....when?
I would like to see the following changes made concerning the Spektrum DX8's operation:
1- Option to disable the "System is Inactive" audible beep and vibration warning alarm! It is annoying and we should have the option to disable it!
2- Option to keep the backlight on so that if we are flying in low light we can still see the display! My Ni-Mh battery lasts for hours and leaving the
backlight on would not make that much of a difference!
Can't believe that the DX8 has been out for years now and these items haven't been incorporated into the firmware!

Those are great ideas.
Did you see we have them in the DX10t and DX18?
Leaving the backlight on will noticeably shorten your battery runtime.

RE: New DX8 Firmware with changes made....when?
Hi Andy,
I own a Futaba 14mz and at this time can't afford a DX10 or DX18! I love the DX8 and fly both my Sig Kougar w/ Telemetry and a new Blade 130x currently with it.
The reduced transmitting time of keeping the back light on is better then not being able to see the display at all!
I have spoke to Horizon Hobby people and complained about the "System is Inactive" alarms and they say many people have complained about not being able
to disable it so I hope this will also be added soon!
When will the next firmware update be available?
Thank you for your quick response and nice job on the DX8 programming!

Hi Andy,
I hope "Soon!" means anyday now and not within the next few months!
When a bug is detected the manufacturer should make it a high priority to fix it for their customers especially
if it involves the safety of the model aircraft in which the bug I found does!
Please gives us the option of turning off that annoying Anti Activity Alarm in the next update also!
