Default 10X module temperature

Hi Danny,

I noticed, after having my 10X on for about 1 hour with antenna fully extended, that the module was very warm--maybe 100 `F, or so. I understand that operation with antenna removed is likely to damage the output transistor because of heat--is damage likely after prolonged "on" time with antenna axtended?

Thanks,

The module will get warm in use, but it should not get hot. If it is getting hot to the touch the output may be a bit high and cause a faster loss of output over time. Through regular use a module (regardless if there is a problem or not) will lose output and also lose the tuning over time. This is why we recommend sending the system in for a check up on a yearly basis if you fly often, if you fly less often every other year.
