What Servo for this?
I have a GP Giant Big Stik - 81 in giant. What servos would you recommend for this? I want to keep the cost down but I don't want to risk using a servo with specs that are too low. The specs for the plane call for the following.
Servos: 7-8 standard size with at least 50 oz-in for flaps and
ailerons, elevator and rudder servos (1 each) should have 70 oz-in of
torque
I will be using a larger than required gas engine and the flying style will "stress" the airframe a bit. What can I say, I like to bat them around the sky.
I also want to know if there will be any problem using high torque servos and a 6v battery with the receiver that came standard with an X-347 radio. Sorry but I do not have the model number right now.
Thanks!

RE: What Servo for this?
I was looking at the 821 servos but then I found this.

I'll look at the 126'S.

RE: What Servo for this?
The DS-821 are not recommended for Giant-Scale aircraft. Yours is a 1.20 size (upper end of the scope of DS-821's), and the required torque rating is right there. Seems to me they would work OK.
However, better servos are ALWAYS better! I like metal gear servos for anything larger than 1.20 size that I plan on "batting" around in the sky. There is no free lunch though. If you want the best, you will have to pay for the best.
Speed and power is expensive!
