Default Fuel filter direction

Hello,
After reading contradictory info on the position of the filter O ring. What is the final consensus should it face turbine or pump?

I have the fuel go over the outside of the filter so when I clean it it makes easier to get the dirt off of it.
I also use plastic safe electronics cleaner that you can find at Home Depot.

Also use Biborg an anti algaecide in the fuel can.

Thanks for the input. Meaning that O ring should be facing Turbine which is logical being easier to clean. Is this how it is supposed to be? while in the manual it says O ring should face fuel pump?

Yes…. The O ring should face the turbine. The new filters also have a directional arrow showing the fuel flow routing. You should also try to mount the filter vertically.
