Anyone tell me the thrust line of a Bridi Big Bee.
Measured from the bottom of the fire wall.
Have plane, threw away the prints, changing motors from G62 to a Poulan 46
Thanks,
BB1

Why do you need to know? Have you flown this before? Changing engines shouldn't make any difference. Just for info I fly mine with a Super Tigre 3000. No issues. Is the firewall square with the bottom of the fuse? Mount the engine with the crankshaft centered if possible. I find this to work for me. Hope the pics help if they show up.

Yup, been flown on a G62. BIG and gentle.. As all of Joe''s planes are.
Major problem is it will not stop on a paved runway with the big motor and a 22x10 prop.
This year, I'll be flying off of a paved runway.
The motor mount on the Poulan 46 is a large mount and the mount on the G62 is the usual cup mount.
I just need the measurement from the bottom of the firewall to the center line of the motor mount
By the great looking plane!
I'll post some pics later when I get the motor mounted and the cowel built.
Thanks a bunch,
BB1

My son flew one of those until he was flying inverted over our empty lot flying site, and he did an inside loop, with not quite enough clearance from the ground.
