Hello Twistedteddy,

I am curious what can be defective with the carb of that little "tiger".
Did the "thunder" get to it ? LOL

Is there something that cannot be fixed (repaired) ?

Repairing and fixing things is a good part of our hobby.

its just the barrel. the carb on it isnt even the original one. we picked this one up at lhs a few years back. it never worked right always leaked and sucked air. thats why i wanna find the EXACT carb. im done dealing with trying to make something work when i kno its not going to cuz ive tried EVERYTHING! i just need the exact carb and want a brand new one, then i can restore the tiger. thanks for everyones posts. i started the wing today and like a jackass wasnt paying attentnion to the materials i used to beaf up the landing gear. turns out i used one of the spruce spars for the wing. now i gotta see if i can get it from my lhs... damn...

Bummer, I hate that! Looking good and hope you find a carb. Those little Tigers are hard to beat and to tell the
truth, I think might be a better engine for your project, but I have watched you build this little jewel and I feel you will do just shalt you have set out to do!

Well my young friend, you got plenty of heart, that is evident. If there is anything I can help with, please feel free to ask.
Top Flight is my favorite mfg. I love everything they put out, I have 2 of their kits, a Contender and a Cessna 182. I hope to in the future do a P-40 with the works.
What is you favorite flavor glue and PM me your address.

I use very little CA, I do use, but not oft. I as you can tell from the site name use Duco, but here lately I have switched to Titebond.
I have been using it in the construction of the Tele and so far I am very impressed w/the grab and hold of the glue. Sands well too.
I also use Epoxy as well, when joining hardwoods/balsa this is the glue to use.

Duco,

Then what do you suggest to do when "Kind words" have accomplished nothing ?

I have to read between the lines in your posting (above).

There is also only one LHS (Local Hobby Store) nearby here that stocks airplane stuff.
His situation allows him to charge as much as he can so we try to get many items from other much more economical sources.

An example is fabric and genuine aircraft dope.
Another example is thin aluminum sheeting.

There are items only availble from the LHS or the internet with of course shipping charges.
Model aircraft flying is not the cheapest hobby.

The underlined and italics in your text above, I am guessing, means a site having the pricing similar to Hong Kong. I regret you do not have such a sitewherever you are. I do not have either.

Sorry I cannot help on this point of view.

Best regards de Zor

Walk away and do not lower yourself to their childish attitude. And for that squeaky wheel, new bearings!
