Any Goldberg Bucker Jungmann lovers out there. I've e-mailed Goldberg asking to bring the Jungmann back. Maybe, with enough responses we can get a new kit run. Jump on the band wagon and lets see.
thanks

No question, it is a really fine biplane. Lanier bought out the Goldberg designs, so maybe if people complain to Bubba they can get the kit back into production. I think parts may still be available, so the kit could be scratch-built.

I was just looking at the Buckner Hobbies ad on RCUs home page and they have it listed. Look here, http://www.brucknerhobbies.com/Goldberg.htm
Listed as less than $199.99, I have this kit but have not had time to start it yet.

My favorite 1.2 sized plane of all time. What a flier!!!! I built one and had one new in the box. Sold the new one to a flying buddy with the understanding if he sold it, it comes back to me. He sold it! I was mad. Gave it to him for $100 with glass parts. AWESOME plane!
I cant find one any where.

I built 2 Buckys and loved them both and of course the kit is no longer made but I called CG and plans are still available @ $20.00 so I plan to scratch build on this summer. The Bucky was the best flying bipe I have ever flown...there was no roll couple in knife edge and it climbed vertical straight up with no falling off to the left or right...a real pleasure to fly. I WILL have another Bucky this summer.

fxd...I will cut out the parts for you for free if you send me the kit...I will also cut or copy all the parts I need for a complete kit. I do not have any cnc mill or lazer but I have a complete wood working shop that I cut all the parts for my scratch builds.
I this sounds good to you e-mail me and we can talk about it over the phone. What part of the world do you live in??

I located one from a guy who had it framed up and in his attic, he ia a great builder so I am not worried about the build, I bought it for $100.00 and everything was there and in excellent condition, I have wanted one ever since I flew my Dads and now I am in process of completing it, what a find, I plan to power it with a Saito 180.

A few years ago when Dave Patrick was first starting his company, I had the pleasure of talking to him at length on the phone. I told him that I had owned all of his designs over the years, but my favorite was the Jungman I had with a Webra 1.20. He seemed very surprised. He told me that it was one of the worst sellers that Goldberg ever produced and he thought it was because of the looks. That must be true, because CG still kits all of Dave Patrick designed planes-- EXCEPT THE JUNGMAN! Oh well......

YES!!!! Bring back the CG Bucker. I have RCM plans for a 1/4 scale Jung'ster that were done by Dave Platt, I think. Nice looking plane with round cowling. Want to build it unless someone re-releases the Carl Goldberg kit. I know of a couple of Buckers and man do they fly beautifully. I've been told the full size plane is a dream to fly as well. Watch the movie 'The Great Waldo Pepper' (Robert Redford) for a scene with a Bucker doing an airshow routine as well fantastic aerial footage of many other biplanes.

Dave Patrick is probably right about it not selling well because of looks....it is not real sleek, and the scale paint job with the stripe running diagonally across the fuselage was like dressing a fat lady in horizontal stripes
In addition, the view of the plane in the ads accentuated all of this.
But....it sure is a great flying airplane, and I love mine with a pumped Webra 120. It has survived one mid-air which took the bottom wing off. I got a wing kit from Goldberg and was soon back in business. I too wish Lanier would re-kit it.

About two months ago, I walked into the local hobby store and they were selling a Goldberg Bucker kit for 100 bucks. It's now in the hobby room...
Think it will be next, if I ever finish my TF Sea Fury... sigh.

There were some other nice looking paint schemes like the all over yellow with black stripes on the fuselage and the Swiss military markings make a neat plane as well. I've seen pictures of several good looking red/white variations similar to AZCAT59. Buckers are one of those planes that look way better in the air than on the ground and, from what I hear, fly even better. In the RCM construction article Dave Platt calls it the best model bipe ever.

HI there, Do you still have that Bucker Jungman? I have two. One is almost finished and the other is new in the box. Do you think an OS 1.60 is too much power/weight for this plane? Will the plane 3d? Thanks in advance if you have the time to answer.
