Latest update on Gene is that he is doing great and should be home for the weekend. Guess all our prayers helped.

Let us hope he will follow the professional heath advisor and take it easy.

Yep that is good news for sure... I have found in my past experiences, it is hard to get better in a hospital. I like it better when home surrounded by my stuff. So Gene get home so you can get better.

Great news!!!
And since this is the kit building forum, maybe some of this great karma and good will can be used to increase the number of available kits ... Gene's gonna need something to do whilst he convalesces.

Great news, I think we should all try to send Gene some of our extra balsa, and glue, and or plans, so maybe he can start working on another project. ))

Well Beard ole chap, You should be home by now. I also am a veteran of extended hospital stays. I spent a week in intensive care last fall when I broke my neck and back. When you start to feel a little better, all you can think about is your own home, bed, etc... I hope you are well and in your own space now.
The key to recovery is taking it easy and being comfortable. In an effort to help you with that, I will send you some plans of planes I need built. I will be happy to pay for the postage for you to send the completed planes to me when you have completed them. I will provide color schemes and complete instructions as to what servos and radio gear I want so you need not worry about any decisions during building. This is asuming you have not had any problems "Building" your ARF, I would not want to slow progress any on that front.
Hope you are well and will be back behind a transmitter soon.
You are a friend and inspiration to many you have never met.
Best wishes

Latest update on Gene is that he came home from the hospital on Thursday, but had to go back in on Friday for some adjustment to the shunt they installed. The current prediction from his doctor is that he should be back home on Tuesday. As you all that know him can imagine, he is getting as grumpy as ever wanting to be home.
