Wow I'ts fixed and I can even post at home!
Lots of catching up to do. Here are a few snap shots of the control horns on the aileron and flap before and after covering. It gave me the look, strength and throw that I was looking for.
Can anyone see the photos I just posted because on my end the windows are blank!

Oh Dave, that one hit a little close to home! My little girl (22 years young) had to go to the courthouse to get married. The only real bad thing was they wouldn't let me bring my shotgun in!!! [X(]
VJ, I'm sitting here using my imagination and, boy howdy, that looks AWESOME!!!!

Sorry Gents, I had hoped to end this build strong, but there's not muchI can do about it.
Last night I got most of the stitching on. Will need to finish that up as well as lay down the tape. Depending on the weather there is a chance to get the wing sprayed this weekend. I say depending on the weather because if the weather is nice I would like to get outside and get some yard work done!

Oh mother nature is so cruel at times...Forget yardwork, getting more snow and ice as I type. Can't see the grass anymore! Enough already! OK I feel better now...

That does help, doesn't VJ? Venting once in a while. I probably do it too much.
For us, 80's this weekend. So, not much is going to get done on my Cub. Got to go out and fly! [8D]

Here are some shots while I was fitting the spats on. Everything is removable for future service and to make it easier to paint...

That is too much picture posting in too short of a time span. I am speechless, seriously I really don't know what to say. Very nice just does not seem like enough to describe how well it all look's.

Hi Vincent,
I can’t wait to see pictures of the painted wing. Your work is impeccable. I hope you also take pictures of the wing on the stand, masked, and ready for paint. I’ll soon be painting my Sig Seniorita. It’s a practice plane and I’m finishing it with Koveral and dope. I’m taking your advice and plan to mask using the 3M striping tape. The problem is I can’t find the tape anywhere in town. The local hardware stores and automotive stores don’t carry it. I finally found the tape on Amazon.

Looks like RCU has finally resolved the issues that have plagued us.
Thanks for all the kind words guys, it's muchappriciated.I hope the paint on the wing comes out well. I am excited to finish this project and start on my next after a short breather...
Mike that tape will work well for you, hard to believe that the auto parts stores don't carry it, but as you said you can purchase it on line without any trouble. Good luck with your project! I will be sure to take a lot of photos of the wing painting process.

Looks AWESOME Vincent, very nice indeed. I love the way you cut the relief in the ailerons for the hinge points, looks very clean and consistent, nice work. I was wondering how you achieved the panel lines on the wheelpants. I see in one photo, right along a rivet path on the side of the wheelpants their appears to be a noticeable step for a panel line, is that just built up filler? Hard to tell, but it looks great!
Thanks,
Dave

Sorry you are getting more crap, but it will end, and besides you have a good excuse to get this thing finished. I won't waste any more space trying to describe the indescribableThat is a serious piece of wood you have holding the spats on. My Ryan uses a 1 piece unit from FGS that screws into blocks in the wing and is not attached to the landing gear at all. A bit of a pain to get off for servicing compared to your set up. It is almost a shame to have to paint it, the work is so beautiful.
