Does anyone use a colored sealer on thier model before covering?
On previous models that I have built, I was able to see the wood grain and light and dark spots under the covering.
Especially under white covering.
I am thinking about using a colored sealer (white or gray) on the model before covering.
Am I off base hear, or has anyone tried this?
Thanks

With a sealer under the covering, your covering may not stick as well and or may not stick at all. Also you will have troubles if you lift your covering to make adjustments, your sealer might stick to the covering and ruin it. They do make a Product called Balsarite that is designed to make your covering stick better to the wood, but even that takes some getting used to. Good Luck, Dave
