Yeah, know exactly what you mean. There's something about the general layout of the design that just clicks with me too - nice and clean, and still kinda sophisticated. Shoot, I dunno - I just like it. There WAS one on the bay quite recently, don't know whether she's still there or not.

AMR keeps saying that they have the rights to the Bravo, and the kit will be out in a few months. Unfortunately, they've been saying it for a couple years.

Thanks for admitting me to the Brotherhood !

I've enjoyed the Sig kits that I have built One of these days, I'll have to build the 1/4 Cub.

The Kadet Sport showed up today. While giving it a quick inspection, I installed the landing gear and the fuselage servos.

Tomorrow, I'll take a look at the instructions.

I never knew a kit manufacture could have the rights to a design. How come everyone can sell Cubs, Extras, Sticks, etc.?

"Rights" might not be the proper term.

AMR bought the dies, molds, etc, for the Bravo, from Sig, with plans to reintroduce the kit.

Here are a few pics of what I have done on my Kadet Sport.

Engine and linkage installation has yet to be accomplished.

For engines, I have an OS .52, an OS .61, and a Magnum .91. All are four strokes. I'm open to suggestions as to which to install.

Boy it's to bad you don't have a OS 70 four stroke. That has been a great combo for me. But the 61 would give you great performance. The 91 would be over the top (what great places to be) and still be controllable ,that is what the throttle is for ,I guess.

I am not a fan of Magnum engines but if you get a good one you are golden. OS on the other hand. This is my newest one. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WXbD42il8MI

Tom, that's a nice plane!!!! I'm with c-crunch, a .91 would probably be a bit much - I'd go with the .61

It's a shame that I'm more or less maxed out on room for my planes - that Sr. Sport looks like a really nice airframe to play with. Speaking of playing with - had my Kadet Mk-II and Mid-Star .40 out today - - had a ball!! Talk about two completely different planes - the only similarities are that they both have wings and engines. Love 'em both though.

i always select the engine that balances the airframe best.

You can always throttle back but lead in the nose is better replaced W/reciprocating mass.

I discovered I need a bigger workshop. I dont have any room left for my planes. I just added a TF P-51 ARF to my collection. I now have 4 SIG's 3 P-51's one Corsair, an Apprentice, a CARF Extra 330L and various little Micros. I need to make room so I can clear my work bench, especially since my wife is entused about flying after our trip over to the Fly In last week, she wants to learn to fly and my daughter is showing interest too, she wants a Pink and Purple plane.

Thanks !

I have the 61 mocked up right now. It's mounted inverted. I understand tank placement etc, but have no experience running without pressure. Do you think that I may encounter problems ?

My solution to running out of shop storage space is simple. I fly more. It creates room faster than I care to admit.

I hope to maiden the Sport later this week. For now, I have enough storage, so wish me luck !

Hmmmm, I really don't know. With RC, I've always had pressure for the fuel system. However, NONE of my CL planes have pressure systems and every one of them works just fine - with one little stipulation - they all have their fuel feed tubes & overflow tubes pointing straight ahead, into the airflow.

Any particular reason you can't do pressure?

Yeah, I've heard of guys using flying as an excuse for getting more space - shame it doesn't work for me, for some reason. Hate to admit it, but, with the exception of my CAP-21 that went down to radio interferrence several years ago, I haven't crashed/lost a plane in over 35 years. Of course, I'm told that I'm a rather conservative flier, which pretty much accounts for why I haven't lost planes.

Still, could use some more floor/wall/ceiling space for more planes.

The 61 has just an exhaust pipe. There is no pressure tap, nor a muffler.

In the end, I decided to go with the Magnum .91 four stroke. I'm committed, now. The cowl has been cut to fit.

Amen Bro. I hear you guys have a great field in Decatur. I started at the old airport in Huntsville back in the day when I was living in Madison. Actually I have an office in Decatur now.
