Bob, you will have a lot of fun with your kit.
Incase you haven't found the other SW builds (that have been completed)
Here is an excellent one from Tom Crump. His was the first one I came across.
http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1356049
The next one is the 1/4 scale Space Walker 2. The construction is the same though.
Excellent build tread from Vincent. Plus it is a two for. At the end of Vince's build Leroy takes the SW to the next level .
Vincent's builds are very instructional and a joy to read.

And then there is WacoNut . Anthony is just getting back on his build after a break.
Page one Kit building you will find.
Enjoy your build. It's the thing that makes me feel like a kid again

Thanks for the info on the other build threads. I opened the box today. It really isn't that big - it's all in one box. I've built a couple of 35% Carden's. They come in four boxes. The one box with the wood in it is bigger than the Spacewalker box.
this build should be fun, when I finally get to it. I have one on my building board right now. A friend is getting a 50cc ARF shortly and wants me to assemble it. I am also doing some flight testing on foamies.

First off amazing build. You are a true craftsman. I do believe your servo selection for this size bird and gas are inadequate. I would only be using a metal gear high torque servo. The vibrations might not be good for your servos. Great build. Your amazing.

Lots of gold to be mined in them there threads, if you have a hankering to investigate.

Yes I've been lurking for a while on your great build. First post but not new to RC. I fly mainly gs gas planes and helicopters. And I gotta tell you don't risk your hard work with those servos. They are not up to the task. Gotta fly

OMG, talk about overkill, I'm a Sig dealer, I sold many SW'S and a 50cc or G62 are the largest I've seen on this bird. They fly beautifully, why would anyone want to overweight the plane? You may want to rethink that 111. IMHO
Nice build!

Hey! What happened? Is it done yet? Did you cover it in non certified poly and apply rib stitching? My 1/3 SW just got delivered to my door yesterday. I am really impressed with your build especially for a rookie! WOW. I've been building for many years and it usually is very tough to impress me.

Thanks for the kind words Steve.
Hope you have lots of fun with your SW. I am still on break with my SW. Not that I am not building. I am.
I intend to come back to the SW when this is complete --> Linky Red Lion
