Default BTE Vortex C.G.

Would anyone have the C.G. for this delta wing? I started to but re tracks in and didn't ck the balance before hand. I would like to know where it might balance before I get too fair into this mod. I'm the forth owner so the plans are long gone. Thanks in advance for any help.

Hello Telmaster,

According to the manual, the C.G. for the BTE Delta Vortex is between 21 and 22 inches measured from the trailing edge of the elevons. I have a Vortex kit waiting to be built. A friend of mine has one and it's a neat aircraft. Good luck with your retract mod.

Hello Telmaster,

I just unrolled the plans and measured the CG range with a ruler. The forward limit measured 22 inches and the aft limit measured 21 inches as stated in the manual. I just wanted to check and be sure I wasn't giving you bogus information.

So, the landing gear is behind the CG right?

That is correct Jeff. The stock location for the main gear measures approx 19.75 inches from the trailing edge of the elevon.
