Default TF Cessna rear window

Aruuugg lol in the instructions for the TF Cessna they want you to install the rear window
before the building is finished! I want to glass this plane so do I leave the window out? The window has to be covered or painted to give the impression it is part of the planes framing. Should I leave it in and glass slightly over the edge to help hold it in place! I would like to make the transfer from body to window a clean transition! Will the resin attack the plastic or should I use balsa filler?

Default RE: TF Cessna rear window

RCHYFLYER,

When I built my Cessna, I glued it in as instucted, covered the plane then masked the window area and the fuse leaving a small amount of the covering exposed, so the paint would seal the area around the window.

I'm not sure if the resin will attack the plastic. You could test it on a small piece of scrap plastic from the window to see. If it doesn't attack, then I would glass over the edge just slightly so as to blend the window into the fuse. Then paint right up to window.

George
