senior telemaster / flat wing
#2
I have two wings for my senior Tele. One built per plans with standard amount of dihedral. The second one is built flat with 7 degrees of sweep in the wing starting at the point where the center ply joiner ends. I can't tell a lot of difference flying, but is sure looks different in the air. someone told me that adding sweep to the wing was the same as adding dihedral. the flat wing does seem just a little more responsive, or seems to stay where you put it a little more than the one with the dihedral. Maybe I should have made it a "clipped wing" Telemaster and taken about 6" off each side. In any event, it's my favorite plane for all around flying.

I've built three, the latter two with a flat wing. The flat wing is far superior for most applications. However, if you can't use the rudder in conjuction with the ailerons, don't do it as some manuevers do require coordinated rudder/aileron with the flat wing.
