Default Experience with Skyshark kits?

I have to admit, the ad at the top of the RCU page with the barely clad woman caught my eye, so I took a look at the Skyshark website for the first time. I thought their kits look pretty nice, including their sport plane - the Fantasy. Has anyone built any of these kits and how really good are they?

Redford, I have the Avenger Kit, and although I have not started it yet, every time I open the box (to have a drool over the superb lazer cutting!!!) it jumps further up the list. Pay a visit to www.*************.co.uk and you will find quite a few online builds of these kits. All of them extolling the virtues of these kits.

Cheers

A friend who has been buddy boxing with me has built 3 of them, but from the original company before Sky Shark bought the rights to the kit. He loves the Fantasy. He crashed his first one. Built another one and is selling me the third one. Mine has probably only flew a few test flights, so it is new. I hope to be flying mine in a week or two. It is a beautiful plane!

I have the Stuka and SBD Dauntless and like it was said, they are beautiful kits and can't wait to start the Stuka. If you go to the warbird forums you'll find a couple of guys doing a build with pictures of the Val and Dauntless. In my opinion you just can't go wrong with one of these kits and if I live long enough I plan on doing every one of them, yes I do love scale warbirds!

The Fantasy is a fantastic plane. I had mine at the club on Saturday. The only thing to remember is that the Fantasy was originally a Major Hobbies kit. I have no idea of any changes that Skyshark made when they released the kit again except for the $50 price increase.

I have the Hawker Tempest. The cutting of the wood is excellent as well as the quality of the wood. There were a couple of "grey areas" in my manual, but a call to Mike and they were straightened out. Due to the short nose/long tail mine came in heavier than I would have liked because of the lead in the nose.

I am just waiting for some decent weather to test it out. Here in Connecticut it has either been raining, below 45 degrees, windy (above 10 mph) or a combination of all of them for about 3 weeks now. RealFlight is paying for itself, even if it is starting to get boring.

Ouch! I started flying RC in the first week of March and we have had mostly good flying days. We did have a 4-5 day stretch with very high winds, but it is hitting the 90s now. I got to the field Sunday just as a big t-storm blew over and had to wait almost an hour to fly. I still got in a few flights, including the Fantasy.

If I need help I'm going to call Angie. Not Mike! (g)

Heres a picture of my skyshark Stuka, I'm currently installing the radio, and she should be flying in the next few weeks

Also I did a review of the Skyshark Dauntless here http://www.rcuniverse.com/product_gu...orial_list.cfm

VERY NICE. What size engine do you have in it ?

I put a TT61 in the Tempest because of the added weight of the retracts an because I glassed the plane.
